Job Description

Bio-Check is expanding its manufacturing capacity for diagnostic test kits

  • including lateral flow devices
  • and we're looking for someone who enjoys a blend of hands on production work and organised planning.

In this hybrid role, you'll build broad experience across our manufacturing processes while helping ensure our workflow runs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the creation of short- and long-term production schedules based on customer demand and forecasts
  • Helping allocate staff time and materials to meet daily and weekly output targets
  • Monitoring progress, identifying bottlenecks, and adjusting plans to keep production on track
  • Getting involved in core manufacturing tasks, such as reagent formulation, dispensing, labelling, assembly, packing, documentation, inspection, and calibration
  • Working closely with supply chain, logistics, QC, and finance teams to ensure plans align with wider business needs

While experience in planning or manufacturing is beneficial, we're equally interested in individuals with the right attitude, reliability, and commitment to clean, safe (COSHH-aware) working practices.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a hands on manufacturing environment
  • Strong planning, organisational, and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to support the preparation and maintenance of short and long term production schedules
  • Willingness to assist with organising staff time and material requirements
  • Ability to monitor progress and raise issues or changes promptly
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to documented procedures
  • Comfortable performing practical tasks including reagent formulation, dispensing, assembly, packing, labelling, and documentation (training provided)
  • Effective teamwork and communication across multiple departments
  • Computer literacy (Office 365); experience with Sage or QPulse is advantageous but training is available
  • Commitment to clean, safe, and consistent working practices, including COSHH awareness
  • A positive, adaptable mindset and a willingness to learn and grow as the company expands are essential.
