Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and Digital Media

The University of Reading is seeking to appoint a full time, permanent Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and Digital Media to join the Department of English Language and Applied Linguistics.

Job description

Interviews will be held on 1st July 2026. The interview will include a teaching and research presentation before the interview slot.

Responsibilities and requirements
  • Proven ability to produce research publications in high quality international journals
  • Experience teaching Digital Media and Communication, and Applied Linguistics and/or TESOL at BA and/or MA levels
  • Research experience in digital media and communication, focusing on communicative and pedagogical applications of emerging technologies, including Generative AI
  • Experience supervising dissertations or equivalent research projects at BA and/or MA levels
  • Proven ability to apply for and attract research funding
