Job Description

LEARNING FACILITATOR - SKILLS ACADEMYHours: 37 hours per weekSalary: £26,539 - £28,083 per annum (pay award pending)

As an award-winning college, we are looking for exceptional people like you to join our team. We truly value our support staff who have a key role in supporting and developing our students.

This is a "hands-on" role in our teaching workshops and your priority will be assisting and supporting groups of students and the lecturer. In a typical day, you'll be:

  • Supporting lecturers to deliver practical sessions.

  • Ensuring tools, machinery, and workshops are maintained and clean, and are complying with all health and safety requirements.

  • Mixing materials, stock taking and ordering of materials and equipment

  • Demonstrating skills to small groups or individuals

Relevant industrial experience would be invaluable, along with experience of sharing your skills in an educational/training environment. The ability to communicate effectivley with young people and adults and enthusiasm to help them achieve their qualification is essential. The Skills Academy has a wide and varied curriculum however we are looking for a new member of the team to predominantly work with 14-19 year old's.
