About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Scrum Master to join the Shared Data Platform Team within the IT Division on a 12-month FTC. Our Shared Data Platform team look after our Azure Data Factory. As a Scrum Master, you'll be responsible for overseeing the needs of the teams via servant leadership, including all the Agile ceremonies for the team. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of products which keep many of our internal corporate customers up and running across the business.

You will be accountable for the effective delivery and oversight of key products and services delivered in the Shared Data Platform team, providing delivery leadership to your workstream, acting as the key point of engagement with several teams and business areas.
The Scrum Master is part of the delivery team and is responsible for the quality and optimisation of software development and technical delivery. You'll be ensuring that the planned releases are appropriately tested, delivered to the release timeline whilst meeting quality expectations and protecting the integrity of the live environments.

You'll lead Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Reviews, Daily Scrums, Refinements, Retrospectives) and optimise the backlog and the squad's throughput. You'll play a key role in resolving blockers and managing risks, issues, and interdependencies, fostering a collaborative, conflict-free environment. You'll manage internal and external relationships for delivery teams and align releases with product and delivery managers, stakeholders, and project timelines.

About you

As a Scrum Master, you'll have a passion for energising and inspiring people to work collaboratively to deliver solutions, demonstrating excellent teamwork. You're pro-active and have a mindset to promote continuous improvement from both you and your team.

You're a strong facilitator and can work in ambiguous situations, demonstrating the ability to work with agility. You thrive off providing excellent customer service, and you enjoy using your stakeholder management and interpersonal skills to both lead and work as part of a team.

To join the team, you must also have:

  • Experience of stakeholder management at all levels
  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of Agile development principles
