You'll be joining a fast-moving, precision-driven environment where engineering, performance and innovation converge, and importantly where procurement has a direct influence on quality, cost, and future product success.

The Opportunity:

As an Interim Commodity Buyer, you'll take ownership of sourcing and supplier management within specific commodity areas ranging from Electric Powertrain and Electrical Systems to Chassis, Body, Interior, Exterior and Carbon Components. You'll work collaboratively with Engineering, Supplier Quality and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver sourcing strategies that balance performance, innovation, and commercial value.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead supplier negotiations and finalise production contracts across assigned commodities.
  • Develop and deploy strategic sourcing plans that ensure cost, quality, and timing objectives are met.
  • Conduct supplier assessments and make informed sourcing recommendations.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and mitigate supplier cost increases.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical, commercial, and quality requirements.
  • Act as a key contact for supplier relationship management (SRM) and performance tracking.
  • Support risk assessments and total acquisition cost analysis.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience in procurement or commodity buying within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and confidence managing complex supplier relationships.
  • Sound understanding of cost breakdown analysis, risk assessment, and structured sourcing strategy.
  • Commercially astute, analytical and detail-oriented with a collaborative approach.
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred. CIPS qualification advantageous.
