Job Description

Our client requires a Helpdesk/IT support Engineer with 2/3-year prior experience to join a 6 strong IT team based at their Bradford head office, looking after a variety of IT Hardware, Software and a user base of 200+ at multiple sites based around the UK. The Helpdesk/IT Support Engineer will report to the IT Manager & Network Manager. The engineer is tasked with providing optimal value to our business by providing IT support at the first and second line for their head office & sites around the UK.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contract for all Helpdesk calls
  • Administer/Support the Microsoft servers, Virtualized environment, mainframe & cloud infrastructure
  • Receiving and responding to incoming calls and support tickets through numerous channels of communication including email, telephone, internal requests, and automated alerts.
  • Remotely diagnose and troubleshoot workstations, laptops, printers, VOIP telephones, mobiles, VPN and various software packages
  • Performing daily checks, updates and maintenance to maximise the performance and availability of infrastructure and applications within the business
  • Escalate relevant and more complex work to other members of the IT team
  • Working with 3rd party vendors to resolve 3rd line issues

  • IP Networking & Troubleshooting
  • Computer OS Installation / Upgrades
  • Remote Software Installation / Software Patching

This role is office based working 37.5 hours p/week. Benefits include 26 days annual leave + bank holidays, pension, death in service and health care plans.
