Gloucestershire Daytime Production Kitchen Corporate Catering & Events

We're recruiting on behalf of a growing, food led catering business operating across corporate catering, grab & go production, weddings, and private events.

This is not a standard chef role.

This is a hands on operational leadership position for someone who understands how to run a structured, organised kitchen operation delivering consistency at scale.

The business already has an established reputation across the region, with a successful events division and expanding corporate catering arm. They are now looking for a Head of Production / Operations Chef to take ownership of the production side of the kitchen and help shape the next stage of growth.

Responsibilities as Head Chef
  • Oversee daily production across:
    • Grab & Go
    • Corporate buffets
    • Event preparation
    • Kitchen prep and workflow
  • Manage ordering, stock control, and production planning
  • Build systems to improve consistency and efficiency
  • Organise and lead kitchen teams effectively
  • Maintain portion control, waste reduction, and food margin standards
  • Work closely with ownership and senior chefs to support growth plans
  • Ensure smooth, calm, and organised kitchen operations daily
What We're Looking For
  • Strong organisational and operational kitchen management skills
  • Experience within:
    • Production kitchens
    • Contract catering
    • B&I catering
    • Events catering
    • Large scale fresh food operations
  • Calm and structured leadership style
  • Strong understanding of food costings and waste control
  • Comfortable leading teams and improving systems
  • Hands on approach with excellent prep and planning ability

This role would suit a chef who enjoys building systems and structure just as much as producing quality food.
