Group Financial Accountant

Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a market leading PE backed business in Wigan to recruit a qualified Group Financial Accountant. At the forefront of the sector and with a track record of delivering on major projects, our client is well positioned to see sustained growth.This is an excellent varied opportunity for a first time mover to step into a high level role within an established business, with the opportunity to drive change and make the role their own. This individual will gain exceptional exposure and shadow and learn from a high calibre and supportive Finance Director. Responsibilities include:

• Preparation of statutory accounts
• Fully responsible for the year end audit process
• Production of monthly management accounts and board papers
• Assistance with preparation of annual group budget and forecasting
• Assisting in preparation of monthly group consolidation
• VAT returns, HMRC returns and payment
• Management of group leases
• Support the Group's tax planning strategy
• Continuous improvement of existing accounting procedures, controls and reporting, and implementing efficiencies across the Group
• Ad hoc project work, including potential upcoming acquisitions and commercial exposure
