General Manager - Benelux (Hach)

Location: The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands - Remote (visiting Tiel office weekly)

Hach seeks an experienced General Manager to lead our Benelux commercial business for a high performance global instrumentation and technology company that protects water quality worldwide. The role will manage P&L, directly lead a sales & customer care group of 30 (plus additional field service engineering associates), and drive accelerated growth through strategic planning, inspirational leadership, and lean operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Country Business Target Revenue, costs and profits as well as Country Working Capital.
• Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve accelerated growth targets while increasing customer satisfaction.
• Build strong relationships across teams, peers, senior management and global stakeholders to maximize a "win as a team" spirit.
• Provide outstanding leadership that promotes followership, professional development, and engagement through shared purpose and values.
• Act as the Managing Director of the local Benelux entity.

Qualifications

• Progressive commercial experience with a sales leadership background (optimally including services) within large scale, international B2B organizations (hardware, tech instrumentation, diagnostic tools, etc.).
• Demonstrated track record of driving commercial growth, focusing on customer acquisition, market share expansion, and operating margins.
• Seasoned leader and manager of managers, ideally at national scale, able to inspire, coach and mentor leaders.
• Strategic and tactical capabilities; ability to analyze market, competitors, and internal strengths & weaknesses to design winning commercial strategies.
• Strong operational and analytical mindset with comfort managing a complex, KPI driven business focused on data, reporting and continuous improvement.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills; fluency in English and ideally Dutch. French is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's preferred.
