Seasonality is key to the food offer using the best local produce. This is accompanied by a curated wine list and original cocktails all served in a stunning modern venue.Our client are dynamic, passionate operators who strive for perfection. As Food & Beverage Manager you will oversee the daily operation of the venue, working closely with the FOH, bakery, kitchen & event team. The client are seeking a service focused Food & Beverage Manager, with an eye for detail, who leads by example and inspires the team with their knowledge, passion and impeccable standards. Experience in high end venues is essential, with the ability to naturally transfer these standards and procedures to a casual dining environment.Previous Experience: Proven ability to manage a team of staff to successfully deliver beyond customer expectations Proven experience in running busy services in a high volume restaurant environment Advanced level of customer service Knowledge of understanding of restaurant protocols & standards to deliver exceptional standards Interest in local food scene and knowledge of wider Edinburgh hospitality venues Proven track record of leadership and team development Experience within an Events Organisation role - being able to swing between large scale events and smaller more intimate events Personal License Holder (not necessary but useful!) Ideally experience working in both high end style venues and more informal casual style venuesKey Skills: Excellent communication skills Maintaining professional standards of dress, attitude and behaviour at all times - especially while under pressure. Knowledge of different service styles with an ability to naturally adapt to varying customer requirements Good working knowledge of wine & cocktails Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal teams, suppliers and customers Proactive approach to problem solving Flexibility to adapt, grow & develop in tandem with the operation and offer Naturally ambitious with the drive to deliver the long term visionKey Responsibilities: Managing all facets of the venue Training and maintaining a strong team of Front of House Staff Building a strong relationship with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team Leading the team with a strong work ethic, leadership skills and positive personality Taking responsibility for the smooth running of services and events in the restaurant Responding to complaints appropriately and timely Ensuring strict compliance with all relevant Hygiene and Safety legislation and requirements Ensuring strict compliance with all Licensing Objectives Reporting to Managing Directors on a weekly basis Managing stock levels and supervising bar and restaurant orders where necessaryThe client are offering a great opportunity for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager professional.
