Finance Officer - Education

£16.30 - £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Remote Initial 9-Month Contract
Hays is working in partnership with a local council to recruit a Finance Officer to support the Education Services team. This opportunity has arisen due to internal team movements, and the council is looking to bring in additional support across the service.
Key Responsibilities:

Take responsibility for a range of financial, clerical, administrative, and technical functions.
Provide financial support and guidance to the senior members of the team, including analysis and financial evaluation of proposals and projects.Oversee journals and budget management processes.

Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working within a local council or public sector environment is highly desirable.
Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Confident in providing financial insight and supporting decision-making processes.
