Facilities Supervisor - Ferndene Hospital (Part time, 30 hours)

Join Our Team as a Facilities Supervisor at Ferndene Hospital.

We provide Facilities Support Services to a mental health and learning disabilities Trust. We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Supervisor to oversee our operations and ensure the highest standards of environments across Domestic Services, Catering, and Portering. Main duties of the job

As a Facilities Supervisor you will oversee facilities operations across Domestic Services, Catering, and Portering, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene and compliance with health and safety legislation. You will supervise staff, manage cash and till operations, coordinate catering services, maintain equipment, and liaise with other departments to deliver a supportive and safe environment for staff and service users.

Salary

Band B (£15.13 per hour). Salary is paid pro rata for the 30 hour part time contract.

Person Specification Experience

• Experience of different types of food and cleaning services
• Experience working in catering or cleaning
• Experience in a supervisory role
• Experience with cashier duties and operating a till

Skills and Knowledge

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Confident decision making and good organisation
• Sound knowledge of food preparation and food service
• In depth knowledge of hygiene and health and safety legislation, including COSHH
• Customer care awareness
• Able to meet the mobility requirements of the role

Education and Qualifications

• Recognised catering or cleaning qualification such as NVQ Level 1 and 2
• NVQ level 3 supervisory qualification or equivalent
• Health and Safety qualification
