Expert Services Team Lead

Location: Utrecht (Hybrid) (2-3 day on-site)

The product is mission-critical, especially for organizations that need to justify and optimize costs at a granular level. The culture is ambitious, pragmatic, and impact-driven, with clear goals to continue doubling ARR in the coming years.


The Role

As Expert Services Team Lead, you'll join the Management Team and take ownership of the Expert Services unit. Your mission:

  • Scale service revenue share from 2% toward 10 %+
  • Retention, strengthen enterprise client relationships
  • Lead a growing team of consultants and technical experts
  • Serve as a strategic sparring partner for the CEO and senior leadership

This is a pivotal role that blends implementation leadership, account strategy, and consultative pre-sales - ideal for someone who enjoys structure, autonomy, and solving complex enterprise problems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Expert Services team responsible for client onboarding, delivery, and success
  • Act as a senior counterpart to enterprise clients (often finance leadership)
  • Build out the delivery and services model for scale
  • Translate client needs into tailored implementation projects (incl. proof-of-concept support during pre-sales)
  • Identify and drive upsell opportunities based on strategic account engagement
  • Partner with internal teams (sales, product, tech) to ensure long-term customer value
  • Improve retention and reduce churn through stronger service engagement


You'll Thrive If You Have

  • 6+ years in SaaS, consultancy, or enterprise software delivery roles
  • Experience managing or scaling service delivery or implementation teams
  • Strong communication skills with enterprise buyers and stakeholders
  • A structured, coaching-focused leadership style
  • Understanding of enterprise finance language and priorities (P&L, cost structures, allocations)
  • A bias toward ownership, proactivity, and pragmatic problem-solving
  • Ability to design and lead client-facing delivery processes


Bonus Points

  • Background in management or strategy consulting
  • Experience in B2B enterprise software with technical depth
  • Previous exposure to cost modeling, FP&A, or data-heavy finance tooling
  • Passion for social or sustainability impact (a long-term product vision involves global NGOs and transparency tools
