Cyber Security Analyst, Contract - Immediate Start

Net Talent are delighted to partner with an international FMCG business based in Edinburgh who are looking to bring a Contract Cyber Security Analyst into the team.

The Cyber Security Analyst will safeguard the organisation by anticipating and neutralising cyber threats, overseeing vulnerability management, and ensuring adherence to security standards. This role leads strategic security initiatives and collaborates closely with IT teams to enhance resilience against emerging risks.

• Oversee and monitor threat intelligence sources, analysing indicators and escalating critical findings.
• Lead cybersecurity awareness initiatives, including phishing simulations, intranet campaigns, and targeted training sessions.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, track remediation progress, and partner with IT teams to ensure patch compliance.
• Prioritize and resolve service tickets related to cybersecurity incidents and requests.
• Administer third party risk platforms, issuing security questionnaires and tracking responses to mitigate supply chain risks.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, standards, and playbooks.
• Partner with external providers, to maximize the value of outsourced security operations.

• Possesses a solid foundation in cybersecurity principles and best practices, complemented by hands on expertise in threat intelligence monitoring, vulnerability management, and patching workflows.
• Thorough understanding of Microsoft 365 platform, including Azure, Active Directory, Office365 as well as SQL and Windows server and desktop operating systems.
• Skilled in third party risk management and vendor security assessments, with practical experience in incident response processes.
• Strong knowledge of security technologies, including SIEM, firewalls, antivirus, and encryption.

6 month contract working for an established brand based in Edinburgh with a day rate of £550.
