Commissioning Engineer - Harrow

Job Overview

Our client is a dynamic environmental company offering HVAC and water treatment services to clients across the UK. They are looking for a Commissioning Engineer based in the Harrow area, who will validate and balance air and water systems across various contract types, including hospital sites. Experience with critical ventilation systems in line with HTM guidelines is essential. Applications from the surrounding areas are considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience inspecting and balancing air and water systems.
• Experience carrying out validations on air and water systems.
• Previous experience working on critical ventilation systems.
• Ability to analyse schematic drawings and survey reports to commission systems correctly.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment, chemical, technical and maintenance processes.
• Fully conversant with health and safety legislation, specifically HTM 0301 guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Competent in the Microsoft Office package.
• Good working knowledge of the water industry.
• Experience in a water treatment commissioning role within the industry (essential).

Responsibilities

• Carry out commissioning duties on air and water systems, including balancing, inspection and validations.
• Calibrate equipment to accurately balance water systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety legislation and company standards.
• Carry out service work strictly in keeping with client specifications.
• Conduct staff training as required.
• Inspect project installs when required.
• Produce reports and prepare quotations.
• Undertake water treatment duties to suit business needs.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with the company's clients.
