Senior Accountant / Client Manager required for a modern and forward-thinking Accounting firm in Guildford

This is a very exciting career opening for an ambitious ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant looking to join a dynamic Accountancy Practice. The business has grown at an impressive pace and can offer genuine prospects for talented individuals. They operate in a professional but fun and relaxed environment with a strong focus on cloud-based technology. Hybrid working is also available, with 3 days in the office and 2 working from home / remote working.

As a Senior Accountant / Client Manager you will report directly to the MD and oversee a small team of highly motivated individuals. The team has a good mix of experience and a key part of the role will be to further develop the technical skills of the staff. You will also be a main point of contact for their wide client base. Typically the clients are SME companies and the services covered by this firm include Accounts, Bookkeeping, Payroll and Tax advice. The main systems used are Xero and QuickBooks.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Statutory and Management Accounts preparation for small businesses
• Corporation Tax Returns
• Some management reporting which includes cash flow forecasting
• On-boarding new clients
• Reviewing the work of junior staff (including Bookkeeping and VAT)
• Managing your own client portfolio, providing general advice and support

Salary and Benefits

• Salary £45k-£60k

Location

The role is based in smart offices in Guildford, with some flexible working / hybrid arrangements. This is a lively team environment with a busy social calendar.
