Position: Behaviour Learning Support Assistant (LSA)School Type: Secondary SchoolLocation: Tooting Contract Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: £475-£500 Weekly

Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behaviour Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioural challenges, helping them to engage positively with their education and develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavioural Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to staff and parents/carers.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
  • Assist in the supervision of students during break times, lunchtimes, and school activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or child development (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students' well-being and development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
