As Centric Health continues to grow across multiple European markets, we are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Assistant Accountant who is part qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent) with at least 2 years' relevant experience to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and assisting with day to day accounting operations.

- Location: Centric Health Head Office, Floor 7, Intact (RSA) House, Dundrum, Dublin 16
- Enter financial transactions into the accounting system during the month, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), banking transactions, journals and standard postings.
- Assist in preparing and posting month end journals, including cost and revenue accruals, prepayments, and other adjusting entries.
- Support month end close processes by carrying out reconciliations, variance analysis, and preliminary reviews of account balances.
- Assist with financial data accuracy checks and follow up on discrepancies or missing documentation.
- Provide support on monthly management accounts reporting as required.
- Support budget preparation and forecasting cycles.
- Analyse financial performance against budget and provide insights.
- Assist with statutory audit preparation, including audit schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Ensure transactions are processed in line with internal controls, approval processes and finance policies.
- Maintain accurate financial records and clear audit trails.
- Support the resolution of audit queries and implementation of agreed process improvements.
- Support the Finance team in identifying opportunities to streamline recurring tasks, reconciliations, reporting and documentation using technology, automation and AI enabled tools.
- Use Microsoft 365 tools, Excel, Business Central and other finance systems to improve the accuracy, consistency and efficiency of financial processes.
- Assist in maintaining clean, well structured finance data to support reporting, auditability and future automation.
- Contribute to process documentation, standard operating procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Use AI enabled tools responsibly to support drafting, analysis, reconciliation preparation and process improvement, while ensuring outputs are reviewed, accurate and compliant with internal controls.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Experience preparing reconciliations, journals and month end schedules.
- Exposure to AP, AR, banking, accruals, prepayments and management reporting.
- Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups and data analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be an advantage.
- Interest in finance systems, automation, AI enabled productivity tools and continuous improvement.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, well supported work.
- Good communication skills and confidence working with colleagues across multiple teams and regions.
- Ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines and remain organised in a busy environment.
