Profile

An established and long standing Asbestos Consultancy offering a full range of asbestos services across the South. We are looking for a diligent and competent Asbestos Lab Analyst based in the St Albans area. The ideal candidate will hold the P401 qualification and have extensive laboratory experience within the asbestos industry, analysing samples and working within HSG 248 Guidelines.

Experience & Qualifications

• Must hold the P401 qualification.
• Extensive experience working within the asbestos industry, ideally as a Lab Analyst.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent understanding of the HSG 248 Guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills and competence in using TEAMS systems.

The Role

• Log all samples and store correctly upon arrival to the lab.
• Prepare all samples for analysis of fibre content.
• Analyse samples using PLM and stereo microscopy.
• Enter all details into internal databases accurately.
• Participate in RICE and AIMS schemes.
• Complete analysis test sheets and reports, ensuring they are uploaded for clients within required timeframes.
• Liaise with clients and build excellent rapport.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
• Maintain safe working and clean practices within the Laboratory.
