Asbestos Contracts/Operations Director - London

This well-established national asbestos company provides a range of asbestos removal services to clients throughout the UK. They are currently recruiting for an experienced and focused Asbestos Contracts/Operations Director based in and around the London area. The successful candidate will hold extensive experience pricing/up-tendering and managing small to large scale asbestos removal contracts, overseeing key accounts and promoting company growth through strategic management plans. Applications from Essex, Kent, Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience within an asbestos contract / operation management background, ideally within a removals setting.
• Good working knowledge of asbestos management and legislation.
• Proven track record of managing large scale asbestos removal contracts.
• Experience completing risk assessments and method statements - and writing tenders, specifications/appraisals and ASB5 notifications.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft package.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing management duties on both medium and large scaled contracts.
• Overseeing work carried out by asbestos removal teams - ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Overseeing the management of labour.
• Meeting Key Performance Indicators.
• Involvement in key bids.
• Profit and loss responsibility.
• Assessing potential contracts and providing estimations.
• Managing and organizing teams/staff to complete contracts effectively and within the timeline.
• Making recommendations to improve client services and delivery.
• Overseeing Health & Safety issues.
• Dealing with incoming sales enquiries, etc.
• Building and maintaining a good working rapport with existing and new clients.
