Asbestos Contracts Manager - Scotland

Job Description

Our client, a well-established asbestos company, is looking to recruit an experienced and competent Asbestos Contracts Manager based in and around the Scotland area. The successful candidate will undertake daily duties such as liaising with the HSE, dealing with invoices, tenders, quotes and personal records, and overseeing administration staff to ensure that contract operations are coordinated with clients and carried out efficiently.

Qualifications & experience

• Strong technical, quality, auditing, management and asbestos removal background
• Previous experience in this role within the asbestos sector
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office package
• Good working knowledge of the asbestos industry
• Experience of asbestos licence application procedures beneficial

Role

• Ensure a good level of technical and quality competence in all aspects of work undertaken by the company
• Liaise with the HSE
• Maintain the asbestos removal licence
• Update and maintain the company's systems and equipment records effectively
• Implement procedures needed to improve and develop the technical side of the business
• Oversee administrative staff and ensure contract operations are coordinated with clients and carried out effectively
• Deal with invoices, tenders, quotations, maintain personnel records, spreadsheets and all other relevant paperwork
• Produce accurate asbestos reports, method statements, risk assessment and associated site paperwork
• Help develop new business leads, taking the business to the next level
