Account Manager / Senior Account Manager (Passive Components)
Job Locations: Rotterdam, Netherlands (On-site) Germany (Hybrid/Home Office)
About The Role
We are a leading global supplier in the electronics passive components industry, headquartered in Taiwan. As we accelerate our market penetration and strategic growth across Europe, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager/Senior Account Manager. This role is crucial for managing our high-value accounts and driving the adoption of our specialized components within European OEMs.
This highly strategic role requires deep technical acumen and proven sales success within the semiconductor, passive components, or related electronics components sectors. The Account Manager will be the primary commercial and technical interface for key customers in Europe, ensuring strict alignment with our Global Account Management (GAM) strategy. You will report to the Local Sales Manager while collaborating closely with HQ teams, including Global Account Management Leaders, Product Development, and Marketing, to maximize sales performance and customer design-wins.
Key Responsibilities: Driving Component Adoption & Revenue
- Strategic Account Management & Revenue Growth:
- Manage and develop relationships with major OEMs and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) providers within the assigned European territory, focusing on the high-reliability and industrial sectors.
- Execute sales strategies tailored to the passive components market to achieve aggressive revenue targets and market share expansion.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities for our component portfolio, particularly within target applications.
- Technical Engagement & Design-In Success:
- Drive Design-In and Design-Win activities , ensuring successful penetration into customers' AVL (Approved Vendor List) for new product designs.
- Serve as the primary liaison for technical requirements, providing component-specific commercial support and engineering coordination to facilitate long-term partnerships.
- Negotiate complex contracts, pricing structures, and long-term supply agreements related to component volumes and forecasting.
Global and Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Strictly align execution with HQ's GAM Leaders and Product Teams to support global customer strategies and component roadmaps.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams (Logistics, Application Engineering, and Quality) to manage component sample delivery, qualification processes, and order fulfillment.
Market Intelligence:
- Actively monitor and analyze industry trends, particularly advancements in power electronics, automotive/EV, and 5G infrastructure as they relate to passive component needs.
- Provide expert insights and data-driven recommendations to HQ on regional market dynamics and competitor movements.
Qualifications & Requirements: Experience in High-Reliability Electronics
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or high-value account management experience directly within the passive components, semiconductor, or specialized electronic components industries.
- Technical Acumen: Proven ability to understand and articulate the value of passive electronic components (e.g., capacitors, inductors, resistors) in customer applications.
- Business Analysis: High proficiency in using Excel and conducting thorough business analysis, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a relevant technical field.
- Skills: Exceptional negotiation, relationship building, and strategic technical sales presentation skills.
- Language: Fluent professional working proficiency in English is essential (German or other major European languages are a significant advantage).
- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within Europe (up to 40%) to visit key accounts, and occasionally to HQ in Taiwan.
