Youth Engagement Worker
Service: Gloucestershire Youth Support Service
Salary: £25,221 - £27,780 per annum
Location: Stroud and Cotswolds Districts
Hours: 37 hours per week (full-time), including evenings and weekends
Contract: Permanent
About Family Action
Family Action is a national charity supporting children, young people and families through high-quality, inclusive services across the UK. Our Gloucestershire Youth Support Service offers centre-based, outreach and detached youth work shaped by young people's voices.
Responsibilities- Deliver an inclusive youth offer across Stroud and the Cotswolds.
- Build positive relationships with young people aged 11-18 (up to 25 for care leavers and young people with SEND).
- Provide engaging group sessions, 1:1 support, and outreach/detached work.
- Contribute to early help and contextual safeguarding, ensuring young people feel heard, supported and empowered.
- Experience in youth work and excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
