Our client is a notable water treatment company known for their professional range of water management services to clients across the UK. They are currently recruiting for an experienced, versatile and hardworking Water Treatment Pre commissioning Engineer based in and around the Bedford area. The successful candidate will come from a strong Water Treatment / Pre commissioning background and will have extensive experience carrying out the flushing of water systems to BSRIA standards. Consideration will be given to applications from Northampton, Milton Keynes, Stevenage, Luton and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications- Strong chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background
- Experience of working in a supervisory role within the water treatment / water hygiene industry
- Extensive experience carrying out pre commissioning works to BSRIA standard
- Good working knowledge of the water treatment industry and legislations
- Competent in using the Microsoft Office Package
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Coordination of equipment required for works to be carried out as well as scheduling of works
- Attending sites to establish works as required
- Carrying out tank cleans, disinfection of mains water systems, descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, etc.
- Monitor client's air and water systems to ensure compliance with the current Health and Safety legislation
- Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers, etc.
- Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems
- Installation and maintenance of dosing systems
- Training site staff as required
- Maintaining a professional working relationship with clients

The successful postholder must also be prepared to travel as per client/contract requirements.
