Job Title: Water Hygiene Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland.
Salary / Benefits: £22k - £34k + Training + Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Water Hygiene Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor through to Lead Water Hygiene Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor.

Profile

A professional and reputable Water Hygiene / Legionella company with presence across the UK, working on Industrial, Commercial, Public, Social Housing and Educational sites. Due to increases in workload they are now seeking to employ a hardworking and diligent Water Hygiene Engineer / Legionella Risk Assessor based in and around the Edinburgh area. Candidates will have experience working within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry, carrying out water sampling, temperature monitoring, CWST cleans and disinfections and legionella risk assessments on a mixed client base. Due to the nature of the contract, the candidate must be happy to travel within the role. However the client can offer flexible working hours and start/finish times.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Current experience working within the Water Hygiene / Legionella industry, ideally as an Engineer / Risk Assessor.
  • Must hold the City and Guilds / WMSoc in Legionella Risk Assessing.
  • Must be able to communicate with clients efficiently.
  • Must be able to use PDA / Tablet systems efficiently.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the ACoP L8 / HTM 04-01 Guidelines.
The Role
  • Work on a mixture of client sites, carrying out legionella risk assessments.
  • Temperature monitoring, water sampling and cleaning and disinfections on CWSTs.
  • Carry out TMV servicing and showerhead descales.
  • Use PDA / Tablet systems to produce detailed reports for clients, and provide technical advice where needed.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with relevant ACoP L8 / HTM 04-01 / HSG guidelines.
  • Continue to build and maintain excellent working relationships with clients.
