Job Description

Occupli are recruiting on behalf of a leading infrastructure and engineering organisation for an experienced SHEQ Manager to support a growing portfolio of projects across Ireland.

This is a senior operational role suited to a proactive safety professional with strong experience across construction, utilities, or energy environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving best practice across Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards while supporting project delivery teams across multiple live sites.

The role offers a mix of office, remote and site-based working with regular travel required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and promote a strong SHEQ culture across operational project sites
  • Support project teams in implementing effective health, safety, environmental and quality processes
  • Ensure compliance with Irish legislation, industry standards and internal management systems
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
  • Oversee incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively
  • Monitor subcontractor SHEQ compliance and documentation
  • Support the preparation and review of RAMS, safety plans, environmental documentation and quality records
  • Analyse SHEQ performance data, KPIs and audit findings to identify improvement opportunities
  • Participate in project meetings, operational reviews and tender support activities
  • Deliver SHEQ guidance, mentoring and training across project teams
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives and best practice across the business
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a SHEQ management or senior advisory role
  • Experience within construction, utilities, infrastructure or energy sectors essential
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of Irish health & safety legislation
  • Experience working with ISO management systems including ISO 45001
  • Incident investigation training desirable
  • Internal auditing experience advantageous
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Full clean driving licence with flexibility to travel nationwide
