Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Pension Systems Analyst to join our Pension Administration team. This role will be working as part of the Penstream team. Penstream is Barnett Waddingham's in-house application covering all aspects of pension administration.

This is a permanent, full time role and it can be based in our Birmingham, Bristol, Cheltenham, Glasgow, Leeds or Liverpool offices working on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Being a Subject Matter Expert for Penstream &GMP
  • Taking ownership for the delivery of systems related work for each project
  • Working with BAU administration teams, GMP project administration teams, and actuaries
  • Ensuring data readiness for GMP projects by analysing Penstream member data and resolving issues
  • Ensuring Penstream scheme setup readiness for GMP projects by analysing the setup and resolving issues
  • Running and checking system calculations to create GMP equalisation preserved benefit values
  • Reviewing and importing data to create GMP equalisation pension in payment values
  • Reconciling payroll changes
  • Ensuring project work is fully documented for handover to BAU administration teams
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous workflow process improvements
  • Identifying opportunities for system development
  • Working to project deadlines
  • Checking the work of other team members
  • Mentoring and training junior colleagues
We would love to hear from if you have:
  • A minimum of GCSE Grade "5" or "C" in Mathematics and English or equivalent
  • An in-depth knowledge and high level of experience of pension and payroll administration
  • A knowledge of Microsoft Office to an advanced level
  • Hold, or studying towards, a professional qualification (for example, Certificate in Pensions Calculations, Advance Diploma in Retirement Provision)
  • A qualification in project management is desirable
