Role Overview

• Reports to: Person in Charge
• Contract type: Full-time
• Working week: Average of 42 hours per week, day and occasional night shifts required
• Location of work: Tullamore, Co. Offaly

Role Responsibilities

• Facilitate and encourage decision making, independence, and personal development.
• Provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, health, and appearance.
• Work in a person centred manner to meet individual care plans and goals.
• Adhere to policies and procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
• Administer and document the dispensation of prescribed medication.
• Undertake key worker responsibilities, helping service owners achieve goals.
• Document and report incidents and complaints involving staff, service owners or visitors.
• Work with MDT to achieve the goals of service owners.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 5 qualification in Social or Health Care Studies.
• Hold a full Irish driving licence (to drive a company car when required).
• Prior experience in social care or healthcare desirable but not essential.
• Working knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
• Excellent English essential (verbal and written).
• Garda Vetting/Police Clearance.
