Role description:

Our teams are tackling some of the UK's most technically challenging projects and AMP8 programmes. We are renowned for our expertise as a specialist water industry design and build contractor in delivering these complex schemes. We are trusted by the country's most prominent water companies.

We have exciting opportunities for Senior Electrical & ICA Engineers based at one of our offices across the UK (over 15 offices available) with hybrid working options.

Reporting to the Principal Engineer, the role is within our Engineering Team, providing environmentally conscious, innovative, and sustainable solutions to the water industry to protect our world for future generations. Opportunities at Engineer and Principal Engineer levels are also available.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, carrying out production and checking of Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation design packages, ensuring compliance with project standards for cost, technical, legislative, quality, safety, and environmental objectives.
  • Liaise with other disciplines to coordinate designs with the engineering team, delivery team, and supply chain.
  • Coordinate with clients, the supply chain, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ensure standard practices are adopted wherever possible.
  • Prepare high-quality design drawings, clear design calculations, reports, drawings, and other construction-ready documentation.
  • Work in accordance with our Contract, Business Management processes, and procedures.
  • Assist in achieving wider business goals for positive Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Gain hands-on experience in commercial, programme, and financial aspects.
  • Mentor and develop performance of assigned staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Membership of The Institution of Engineering & Technology and working towards Chartered status. The company supports and mentors this process.
  • Strong technical design experience, ideally with build experience on water projects or similar industries.
  • Good self-motivation, influencing, and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of BIM-led design and digital tools like REVIT / Plant 3D.
  • Understanding of British Standards, UK Industry Codes of Practice, and Water Industry Specifications.
  • Knowledge of Water Industry Clients is preferred.
  • Driving license or ability to travel across the UK, including remote sites.
