P2P Consultant

Start: ASAP - April 2026 (likely extensions)
Location: Remote (with occasional expensed travel to Frankfurt)
Industry: Pharma/Chemical (nice to have)
Project: S/4HANA patching & maintenance + potential S/4HANA Greenfield preparation

Project Overview

Our client is running an S/4HANA patching & maintenance initiative, stabilising and optimising the existing P2P processes. At the same time, they are in early discussions around a future S/4HANA Greenfield implementation, where the consultant may play a role in initial preparation, analysis, and design workshops.

The project sits within a global environment, with cross-functional collaboration across Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and Master Data teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Core P2P Expertise

  • Strong hands-on experience in Classic P2P processes (PR, PO, GR, LIV).

  • Deep understanding of Master Data (Material Master, Vendor Master, Info Records, Source Lists).

  • Solid knowledge of Pricing conditions and their integration to P2P processes.

  • Experience with Inter-company processes and cross-plant procurement flows.

  • Strong understanding of Stock Transport Orders (STO) and related logistics processes.


SAP S/4HANA Skills

  • Hands-on experience with S/4HANA (configuration, testing, troubleshooting).

  • Experience with patching, upgrades, maintenance cycles, and regression testing.

  • Ability to analyse and adapt standard processes after S/4 updates.

  • Exposure to Greenfield project preparation (desirable).


Industry Experience

  • Pharma/Chemical industry experience is a strong nice-to-have (regulated environments, batch mgmt, compliance).

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication with business & IT stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently in remote setups.

  • Problem-solving and process optimisation mindset.
