Ashlea Medical Practice is looking for an enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our established, friendly Practice for 5 sessions per week.
Main duties of the job- Provide high-quality care in a primary care setting. Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients.
- Management of screening, prevention and chronic care issues.
- Admin duties: Managing necessary paperwork through EMIS clinical system and ensuring timely communication with other health providers.
Ashlea Medical Practice is a progressive and forward-thinking practice that is well established in the local area. We are currently a 20,000 patient practice operating over two sites. The sites are approximately a mile apart and serve a mixed demographic.
We have a strong clinical team backed up by an equally strong wider Practice team. We are CQC rated Good with a high QOF achievement record. We are an active member of Leatherhead PCN which, on our behalf, employs a number of additional role staff (ARRS) including Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, First Contact Physio Practitioners, Social Prescribers and Health & Wellbeing coaches.

Job responsibilities- Provide high-quality care in a primary care setting. Assessing, diagnosing and treating patients.
- Management of screening, prevention and chronic care issues.
- Telephone triage.
- Home visits when required.
- Admin duties: Managing necessary paperwork through EMIS clinical system and ensuring timely communication with other health providers.
- Adhere to best practice provided by Ashlea Medical Practice, local and national clinical guidelines.
- Adhere to best practice in line with RCGP/BMA Good Practice guidelines.
- Contribute to specific areas of QOF.
- Attend and contribute to Practice meetings.
- Contribute to strategic development of the Practice.
- Maintain appropriate levels of Medical Indemnity cover.
- Participate in Practice audits as requested.
- Experience of working in a primary care environment.
- Experience of continued professional development.
- Experience of QOF and clinical audit.
- General understanding of the GMS contract.
- Experience of medicines management.
- Experience of CCG initiatives.
- Qualified GP.
- MRCGP.
- Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP.
- General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT).
