Now operating over 40 top retail fresh food stores nationwide and with more to follow, our client is looking to strengthen their teams in a number of key areas of management.
At present they are seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead and drive KPI performances in a dynamic fast paced retail shop, located in a busy town within Roscommon, within 20 minutes' drive of Carrick On Shannon and roughly 35 minutes from Longford town. This site is a very significant site, a modern retail setting with several food concessions, including a busy convenience shop, deli, off licence and forecourt. This is a dynamic award-winning retail business who partners with Skillnet Ireland and other Retail governing bodies, to drive success not only for them, but their teams as well, to help grow their careers and enhance their education.

Package and benefitsAverage starting salary for Store Managers €40,000 -45,000 base salary, including a substantial €20,000 bonus for this job, based on a 40-hour contract. This role includes other good benefits such as generous staff discount, discount on fuel, bike to work scheme and Co pension is in place.
Responsibilities for this Retail Store Manager Job:- Ensure the site runs efficiently and smoothly.
- Ensure the store reaches maximum profitability, sales and achieves other financial objectives like controlling waste, shrink, labour.
- Ensure your team demonstrates excellent standards in merchandising, customer service, and hygiene that reflect well on the group's reputation.
- Manage all HR, H&S related queries, ensuring your retail shop is compliant with all these matters.
- Must be a proven and experienced Retail Grocery Manager or Assistant Manager in a similar retail food environment ready to step up, our client might consider a proven management background in Catering if a similar structure to their store.
- Excellent organisation and leadership skills are a must, must possess the ability to lead and motivate teams under them, such as deli chargehands, Assistant Managers, and Supervisors and other senior staff.
- Commercially astute, looking for opportunities to increase revenue by knowing the retail landscape, and managing costs effectively, and using your supplier network to your advantage.
- Working knowledge of Labour Law, Health & Safety regulations, HACCP, and Consumer Law.
