As the Category Manager for Consulting, you will be responsible for supporting WTW across the business for the procurement of Consulting services. This currently has approximately $260M of annual addressable spend. You will work with the Consulting Category Lead to manage relationships with key stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on procurement matters for the organization. Strong procurement knowledge of Consulting Procurement is essential, as well as a detailed understanding of the latest market trends and insights for your category, while keeping pace with the evolving Professional Services and Consulting third-party landscape. This role is based in London and requires a minimum of 2-3 days in the office per week.

The Role:
  • Support the ongoing delivery of the Consulting Category Strategy and plan, addressing short-, mid-, and long-term business goals and objectives.
  • Manage key sourcing processes and negotiate optimal commercial and contractual terms.
  • Leverage vendor relationships through negotiation to obtain best-in-class products/services while reducing total cost of ownership; proven track record of year-over-year delivery.
  • Lead high-profile consulting sourcing initiatives with strong stakeholder skills.
  • Work with stakeholders to market test and/or deliver improved outcomes from renewal negotiations.
Qualifications

The Requirements:

  • Experience in consulting and professional services procurement, including with Big 4 firms, with good knowledge and proven application of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, listening, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship-building skills.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset.
  • Creativity to seek, encourage, and find non-traditional approaches to procurement challenges.
  • Change management and self-awareness skills to adopt targeted approaches to a dynamic set of stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate procurement's value, specifically as a Procurement business partner.
  • Proven contracting, contract review, and negotiation experience.
  • Strong cost management and value improvement orientation.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislative, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk and ensure compliance.
  • Experience with business tools including Ariba, Power BI, and Microsoft Office suite.
