We are currently working through an exciting transformation, moving from separate HR Advisory and Employee Relations Teams into one complete People Advisory service. This role will be a key component in our drive to simplify to amplify, leveraging data insights to aide our pivot to an aligned, proactive People Advisory service focused on providing an enhanced customer experience.

We are seeking individuals to join this team in the role of Operational Effectiveness Manager - People Advisory 12 month secondment.

The role holder will be part of the Operational Effectiveness Hub and will provide valuable support to the People Advisory Team in the UK, enabling the team to provide timely, high quality and customer focused advice and guidance. Primary focus will be on work allocation, simplification and updating HR Direct content including SOP's and procedures. The role spans the whole of the UK (i.e. RFB and NRFB) across all businesses, functions and entities.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Undertake all case assessment and allocations for the UK People Advisory Team. Ensuring cases are allocated promptly to the right PA colleagues, with the right capacity and skillset.
  • Supporting simplification activity across the People Advisory Hubs, collaborating with key stakeholders and supporting change initiatives that will help to pivot to a more proactive service.
  • Undertake content updates, recertifications and feedback on the 200+ HR Direct articles supported by UK People Advisory.
  • Supporting the integration of all operational activities for the UK PA team, including case management, allocations and service excellence. Being part of the team effort to support all operational activity for the UK People Advisory Team.
  • Supporting capability and knowledge development activities for People Advisors, including identifying themes and intervention opportunities through case assessment and allocations.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Be an experienced People Advisor / Employee Relations specialist, with experience of managing sensitive of people issues, using tact and discretion. Experience of undertaking work assessment and allocations would be desirable.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. The Ability to influence to ensure delivery of business goals.
  • Analytical skills. A curious mindset and ability to think critically about problems, often in times of ambiguity. The ability to identify opportunities to simplify processes and procedures for efficient service delivery. Experience of using data to support ideas and gain buy in.
  • Strong prioritising, planning and decision making skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain collaborative and trusting relationships with stakeholders. The capability to influence decision making.
Role can be based in Leeds, St Albans, Chester or Birmingham on a hybrid basis. Other locations may also be considered.
