Work base - Mental Health Admin Team (West, South Staffs), Park House, Park Road, Cannock, WS11 1JN. Hours - Mon-Fri 9 am to 5 pm (30 min lunch)

This role would be ideal for an Administrator who enjoys bringing structure, anticipating needs, handling calls and acting as a calm organized presence within a busy service. Are you the person people rely on to bring order to a busy day?

Training is provided on our Trusts systems, eg our clinical system RIO.
Main duties of the job- Answering a large volume of calls to our main 0300 community mental health services, and handling complex queries of a challenging/sensitive nature taking concise accurate messages
- Administration work for Consultant Psychiatrist/Doctors and other mental health professionals, eg handling queries, diary and clinic appointment management
- Producing clinical letters (potentially from digital audio dictation)
- Using own initiative to proactively resolve problems
- Cohesive working within a centralized admin team
- Personal resilience to work under pressure in this challenging role
- Working as a key member of a team of approximately 18 administration staff

- Experience of clinical systems (RIO or similar) desirable

- Experience of working in the NHS or a healthcare setting would be ideal
- Ideally hold an NVQ level 3 admin or equivalent qualification/experience.
- NVQ 3 in Business Admin, finance, customer care or relevant experience
- Possesses a recognised typing qualification (RSA II typing or equivalent) or can display word processing skills to an equivalent level of competence
- ECDL
- RSA III typing
- A good understanding of office procedures
- Working as part of a team
- Dealing with the public
- Manage and prioritise own workloadPrevious experience of working within the NHS
- Experience of using RiO or a patient clinical system.
