Job Description

Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience.

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 4-5 days per week on-site due to workload classification.

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. After offer, successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS) managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe operation of EE&F test equipment within world-class laboratories at Stevenage and Henlow.
  • Work alongside Facilities Management (FM) to maintain building infrastructure and lab facilities, including management of external contractors and servicing.
  • Lead a team (typically 7-8 engineers), managing resources, risks and budgets.
  • Gain experience working alongside a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements and support the Head of M&C Test in developing capabilities.
  • Support the Health & Safety Manager / Quality Lead to ensure process and equipment compliance.
Qualifications Essential
  • Strong technical background in maintenance of test equipment and facilities.
  • Experience of maintenance and service contracts.
  • Effective planning and project management.
  • Effective leadership skills (interpersonal and influencing).
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Understanding of wider project and company strategy.
Desirable
  • Knowledgeable of the test methods used to perform environmental tests (vibration, shock, thermal, humidity, low pressure etc.).
  • Experience of supporting capex process.
  • Experience with calibration processes.
  • Health & Safety background.
