Lunchtime Supervisor

Contract type: Permanent

Full time equivalent: 5 Hours per week (Term Time Only)

Location: St Anne's Church Academy, Hewish

Closing Date: 17th May 2026
Proposed Interview Date: 20th May 2026
Proposed Start Date: 15th June 2026

At St Anne's Church Academy we are a busy, friendly primary school with a strong focus on student wellbeing. We are looking for a friendly, empathetic and caring Lunchtime Supervisor who will engage children during playtime, promote healthy eating, reinforce positive behaviour, and build relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Support children in their physical play by providing encouragement, support, advice and guidance.
  • Help develop positive behaviours, working collaboratively with the existing lunchtime team and support staff.
  • Listen to the children and encourage their play while maintaining necessary discipline in the playground.
  • Promote student well-being by encouraging good relationships, self reliance, self esteem, and personal health and hygiene.
Qualifications and Personal Attributes
  • Ability to work flexibly within a team and motivate students.
  • Good interpersonal skills with both adults and children.
  • Understanding of the developmental needs of children.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • First Aid qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of working with children desirable but not essential.
