We are seeking an experienced and reliable Logistics Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all on site logistics activities. You will be responsible for managing the flow of goods, supervising delivery processes, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confident communication are essential for this role.

  • Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 60 Hours per Week

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the running of the day to day contract, as dictated by the Head of Security.
  • This may include dealing with the tenants & contacting them on the arrival of their deliveries.
  • Dealing with the contractors' deliveries includes monitoring the usage of the loading of the goods lift.
  • Co ordinate the training of new staff in line with company regulations (completion of 2 Day training sheets) followed by in depth 3 month site training document.
  • Ensure that all trainees are trained to a high level. Tests are to be carried out to ensure understanding of areas covered and full site competency. Trainees must not be left to their own devices with other officers without constant interaction with the Loading Bay Supervisor.
  • All work requests from the Head of Security or a member of the One Bartholomew Close Management Team are to be completed in the time given. If they are not, a valid reason is to be provided to the Head of Security for non completion.
  • Hand over all shift information relating to the running of the Loading Bay, including expected deliveries, collections and work permit to the oncoming Supervisor making sure that all site equipment is accounted for.
  • Ensure that Hostile Vehicle Mitigation measures are strictly enforced.
  • Attend client Huddle Meetings or meetings that concern the loading bay & the building.
  • Ensure that the loading bay areas are well maintained and kept to a high standard of cleanliness and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that all health & safety requirements and legislation are correctly followed.
  • Help to manage the day to day administration of the loading bay access control system, ensuring that all information and data is correctly entered onto the systems.
  • Ensure that strict access control measures are enforced and maintained at the Loading Bay.
  • Ensure that all vehicles entering the loading bay are searched if required.
  • Continually review the service provision and suggest improvements or innovations where appropriate.
  • Respond proactively to any client or customer request.
  • Work with the Head of Security to deliver a professional and efficient service to both tenants and guests.
  • Assist with VIP access.
  • Monitor traffic management and report any violations.
  • Cover Post Room duties while Post Room Officer is on break or post run, receiving deliveries from couriers and keeping deliveries in post room trolley next to loading bay cabin.
  • The Post Room is not to be entered while the Post Room Officer is away from the post room call control room for assistance if entry into the post room is required.
  • Comply with the rules on loading bay operational hours as set by the Corporation of London.
  • Assist Emergency Services as required.
