Job Description

Logistics AssessorWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, Office HoursLocation: Atherton, ManchesterSalary: £31,500 (excluding overtime)

Job Purpose

To ensure the timely and accurate delivery of Qualification/Frameworks through training and assessment and in line with the Company Quality Procedures and Awarding body requirement and ensure that all training is delivered in a compliant and professional manner.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure Qualification/Framework delivery is planned to meet the Company's commercial income targets and contract.
  • Provide appropriate support, assessment and reviews based on individual learner needs within funding/awarding body requirements.
  • Identify, recognise and action previous achievements.
  • Deliver training and contribute to the production of training material as required.
  • Carry out Learner/Employer reviews as necessary and in accordance with procedures and funding body requirements.
  • Ensure Learners complete qualifications within contracted timescales by applying effective time management systems.
  • Use appropriate and innovative technology and e-assessment methods to assess learners.
  • Provide learners with impartial information, advice and guidance to help them make informed decisions.
  • Comply with Internal Verification requests.
  • Undergo training and development in line with the needs of the Business, including standardisation activities.
  • Maintain or achieve appropriate qualifications within relevant timeframe.
  • Maintain occupational competence and CPD.
  • Be actively involved in building and maintaining your caseload in line with company targets.
  • Participate in marketing the Company's services.
  • Conduct all follow-up Health and Safety visits in a timely manner.
  • Complete all relevant records to comply with the Company's Quality Procedures where appropriate.
  • Assist with the induction process of new Learners.
  • Conduct commercial training in line with personnel accreditations.
  • Travel to other locations connected with the business of the Company as required.
  • Assist with other duties within the scope and nature of the position such as training and development of new staff.
  • Implement and comply with the Company's Equality & Diversity and Health & Safety Policies and promote these policies.
  • Implement and comply with all Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Relevant NVQ/occupational competence
  • Direct Training experience
  • Relevant Training Qualification
  • Relevant A1/D1/D2/CAVA/TAQA units or equivalent
  • Full Driving Licence

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Relevant NVQ/occupational competence
  • Direct Training experience
  • Relevant Training Qualification
  • Relevant A/D/TAQA units or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Work Based Learning
  • Appropriate level of literacy and numeracy
  • NVQ/Key (Core) Skills in the workplace
  • Knowledge and experience within the Logistic, Warehousing and Distribution Sector
  • Instructor Qualification to undertake adhoc training such as FLT and Licence Acquisition
  • Knowledge of Government funded programmes
  • Full Driving license
