Camphill Communities of Ireland supports people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism. CCoI operates Residential and Day Services across 15 locations, in which day-attendees and residents are supported to live an ordinary life, a life like any other.

Location: On site / Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary, Ireland

Job Type: Permanent / Full or part-time

Sector and Subsector: Medical & Healthcare Social Care / Social Worker

Annual Salary Range: from €32,526.00 to €42,730.00

Job Title: Programme Assistant

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part-time (35 hours per week)

Requirements
  • Hold a minimum of a QQI Level 5 Major Award on the QQI Framework - or equivalent qualification in Community/Health or Social Care.
  • Have 1 year experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
  • Experience of running programmes for adults with an intellectual disability/autism.
  • An understanding of the New Directions model of day support services, as developed by the HSE, and a willingness to promote this model within your role.
  • An ability to follow plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of the individuals supported.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
  • A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
