IT Security Consultant - Contract (Netherlands)

Our client, based in the Netherlands, is seeking a hands-on IT Security Consultant on a contract basis to support a series of major security and auditing initiatives.

Location: Netherlands
Contract length: 3 months (interim)
Working pattern: Full-time, hybrid occasional on-site presence in the Netherlands is required
Rate: Competitive day rate, outside IR35

The role
You will lead end-to-end cybersecurity audits across a large and complex network, covering both on-premises and cloud/remote Servers. You will assess security controls (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, security baselines, access controls), respond quickly to audit findings, and provide hands-on diagnostics and remediation in a dynamic environment.

You should have:

• At least 6 years' experience working in IT/cybersecurity roles
• Proven experience leading comprehensive cyber security audits in large-scale on-prem and off-prem environments
• Strong skills in evaluating and auditing security controls (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, baselines, access controls etc.)
• The ability to respond promptly to audit issues and support remediation with practical, hands-on solutions

Certifications
We require at least one of the following:

• CISSP
• CISA
• ISO 27001 (Lead Auditor preferred)
• CISM
• AZ-500
• Other relevant recognised security certification

References: You must supply at least two management references before being considered for interview (an NDA will be signed for the role).
