Job Description
Responsibility:
- Hardware sizing powertrains for the vehicle attribute requirements that meet the demands from the market demanding conditions
- Understand the market benchmarking and technologies associated with and features supporting hybridization (PHEV/MHEV) and electrification architectures.
- Mechanical integration of powertrain hardware with other vehicle systems, addressing power supply and mechanical interface considerations.
- Work closely with other teams, including software, electrical, and vehicle integration, to define future requirements that the systems operate in.
- Contribute to the design and development of propulsion systems for next-generation vehicles, which increasingly focuses on electrification.
Must-Have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a strong understanding of mechanical design principles and analysis in the powertrain sizing area for automotive applications
- Significant knowledge & practical experience of using powertrains
- Project management, Leadership, and planning skills are essential, along with good teamwork and excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Strategic thinking is also essential.
- Understand the benchmarking reports from the market for the powertrain systems
Good-to-Have
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or automotive engineering
- Experience: Over 5 years of proven experience in powertrain mechanical sizing for Battery Electric/Hybrid automotive vehicle applications
