We're looking foraGraduate Nuclear Consultantto join our progressive, award-winningNuclear teamin our Manchester or Warringtonoffice, joining our 2025 Graduate Programme (Autumn), where you'll be delivering sustainable projects for our communities, planet and society.
Our Nuclear Division has been providing high-end strategic and advisory consultancy support to the nuclear industry since 2005, working with operators and regulators across the new build, existing generation, decommissioning and defence markets. The Division specialises in safety cases, environmental management, nuclear safety governance, radioactive waste management and decommissioning strategy, and development/demonstration of nuclear organisational capability. With clients including Small Modular Rector and gigawatt scale nuclear power station developers, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Nuclear Waste Services and a range of nuclear related manufacturing, research and defence organisations, we provide a range of services to help organisations demonstrate compliance with the legal and regulatory expectations of the nuclear industry.
Our Nuclear Hydrock now Stantec 3T Team
3T SafetyConsultants Ltd joined the Hydrock now Stantec family in 2023, becoming Hydrocknow Stantec 3T. Located in the heart of the north-west's nuclear sectorcommunity at Birchwood Park, Warrington, the team has a well-established trackrecord of delivering nuclear safety assessment expertise. This includesdelivery of hazard identification studies, e.g. HAZOPs, producing radiologicalHazard Analyses (HAZANs), writing safety case documents and developing safetycase strategies for client projects. This includes working with clients such asUrenco, Babcock Marine at Devonport, Canadian Nuclear Laboratory, SellafieldLtd, Nuclear Restoration Services and ANSTO in Australia.
As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment andwill benefit from strong support from both office and technical colleagues, as well as significant guidance from senior staff within our open and collaborative culture.
Your role:
- Provision of technical support to more senior team members in the delivery of projects, across a range of disciplines (including safety assurance, radioactive waste management, environmental assessment, secretariat support) for nuclear clients;
- Taking a lead role on delivery of specific technical work tasks, including data assessment, documentation review/update, technical report authoring, technical recording at workshops;
- Supporting senior team members in client engagement and business development interactions, as well as support to the development of bid submissions for new work.
