With 14 main garden sites and dedicated garden teams, we are looking for a Gardener to join our team at Mount Grace Priory. This is a full time role working 36 hours per week, on a 9 month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.

• Develop and maintain the site, garden, and volunteering teams.
• Manage horticulture at satellite sites, including Richmond Castle (Contemporary Heritage & Cockpit Garden), Rievaulx Abbey, and Barnard Castle.
• Ensure Mount Grace Priory Gardens are beautifully presented and safely maintained for visitors.

If you are passionate about maintaining and developing historic gardens, have experience of working in commercial horticulture, and thrive in a busy, multi-disciplinary team environment, this may be the role for you.

• At least NVQ level 2 in amenity horticulture.
• Previous experience working in a high quality horticultural establishment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
