Job Description
Role: Family Support Practitioner

Salary: £26,006.84 per annum

Location

Derby, Derbyshire. Our office is based in Cromford.

Contract / Hours

This is a fixed term contract to provide maternity cover for an approximate period of 12 months, working 37 hours a week Full Time.

A bit about the role

Space 4 U is a specialist service working with children and young people aged 5 18 years living in Derbyshire, who are impacted by someone else's substance misuse. We offer 1:1 intervention to the children and young people we support based on an assessment of need. We also offer some group work.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the interventions for children and families
  • Work collaboratively with parents/carers and children
  • Provide children and families with information and skills to help them support their needs through a variety of challenges
  • Empower families to make positive changes
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children aged 5 to 18 and families
  • NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable
  • Knowledge and experience to demonstrate your commitment to safeguarding children and young people
  • Confidence to conduct 1-2-1 sessions and group workl
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Willingness to be part of a team and multi agency working
  • Flexibility as some occasional evening and weekend work is required
  • Access to a transport is essential
