Senior Veterinary Surgeon - Independent, Multi-Disciplinary Practice (Dog, Cat & Exotic Clinics)
Location: Southwest London
Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum (higher pay scale for UK Certificate Holders)
Hours: 40 hours per week, 4 days, 1 in 4 Saturday mornings only
About the PracticeWe're delighted to be representing an independent, vet-owned practice in the heart of Southwest London-a thriving, purpose-built clinic renowned for its high clinical standards, cutting-edge facilities, and friendly, collaborative culture.
Founded just 5 years ago by two experienced veterinary surgeons, the practice has grown steadily from two to four vets and now includes Southwest London's only cat-exclusive clinic alongside dedicated dog and exotic departments.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon with at least five years' UK experience to join a genuinely supportive and progressive team.
The Role- Four day working week
- 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9am - 1pm only)
- Mix of consulting and surgery:
- One full day of 20-minute consultations
- Three days dedicated to procedures, ranging from routine neuters and dentals to complex soft-tissue and orthopaedic surgeries, depending on experience
- All overnight and weekend emergencies are referred to an OOH provider
- Purpose-built, detached premises just seconds from Clapham Common, featuring separate dog/exotic and cat-only clinics
- Multiple consult rooms, prep areas, operating theatres, imaging suites, and wards
- Fully air-conditioned throughout
- Advanced equipment including: Digital and dental radiography; Ultrasound including echocardiography; Full IDEXX laboratory
- Multiparameter monitors, handheld capnographs, Doppler BP, tonometer, fluid pumps, and bear-huggers
- Excellent orthopaedic and dental kits (team includes Certificate Holders in Small Animal Surgery and Dentistry)
- Salary £65,000 - £80,000 pa (higher scale for Certificate Holders)
