DevOps Engineer

Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 12 months + extensions
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Work Mode: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week)
Language: English

Summary

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a major enterprise program in Warsaw. The ideal candidate will act as the key bridge between development and operations, ensuring smooth, secure, and efficient delivery of software solutions. This role focuses on automation, reliability, and building a strong DevOps culture across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the bridge between development and operations teams.

  • Maintain and ensure the health of all environments.

  • Support production deployments and provide troubleshooting expertise.

  • Improve deployment quality and frequency while reducing release failures.

  • Minimise mean time to repair (MTTR) for incidents.

  • Actively promote and implement DevOps culture and mindset within the team.

  • Support applications and operations through:

    • Automation of build and deployment pipelines.

    • CI/CD process setup and improvement (build, deploy, release).

    • Logging, monitoring, and alerting setup.

    • Analysis, debugging, and issue resolution.

    • Enhancing system stability, resilience, and performance.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong passion for DevOps practices and continuous improvement.

  • Proven experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines.

  • Deep understanding of DevOps principles and building collaborative cultures.

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Linux/Unix

    • OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker

    • Jenkins or other CI/CD tools

    • Bash Scripting


Desirable/Advantageous Skills

  • GitOps, Kustomize, Helm, Terraform

  • Java, Groovy, Spock, Maven

  • Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, OpenSearch

  • Messaging & Data: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Hazelcast, MongoDB, Nexus

  • Security & Infrastructure: Certificate Management, Network understanding

  • Incident Management & RCA (Root Cause Analysis)

  • Log management and automation experience

  • Experience in card processing or financial domain

  • Tools: Jira, Confluence


Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and coordination skills across teams.

  • Proactive in automation, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

  • Analytical mindset with structured troubleshooting ability.

  • Collaborative and open to promoting DevOps culture.
