Location: Harlow Retail Park Argos, Harlow, CM20 2TN.
Hours: Part time, 15 hours per week.
Contract type: Permanent.
Working in our stores:Argos is one of the leading UK digital retailers, providing customers with outstanding convenience, choice and value across a vast range of products. As a Home Delivery Driver you'll deliver Argos products directly to customers' doors with an industry leading fast track service.
Eligibility- You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it.
- You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview. If successful, an additional driving assessment will be required when you join us.
- You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
- You must be able to work a variety of shifts across the week and in three shift blocks during the day: Monday to Sunday 5:00 am - 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, 6:00 pm - 10:30 pm. Hours will be scheduled to fit around your availability and may vary from week to week. Opportunities for overtime may also arise, including support for local Sainsbury's.
- Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver a variety of products to customers' doorsteps, on time and in great condition.
- Complete checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before starting the route.
- Serve customers brilliantly, answering questions and keeping them aware of any delays.
- Learn and use new technology to perform your job efficiently, driving safely in residential streets and country lanes.
- When not on the road, help maintain a slick operation in the stock room or shop floor.
- Build extensive knowledge about our products, services and promotions to provide recommendations to customers.
- Friendly and professional with genuine enthusiasm for helping customers and providing the best doorstep experience as the face of Argos.
- Proficient at driving a large vehicle in varied locations, from busy residential streets to narrow country lanes, and delivering to a variety of residential properties.
- Happy working in a fast paced, physical and high energy environment, using initiative to solve problems and thriving both independently and as part of a team.
- Always ready to work flexibly and productively to a high standard across the store when needed - fully trained in a variety of skills, with opportunities to learn, develop and try new things.
