PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £80,000 + London Weighting (£5,441) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

StoryWorks creates meaningful, multi platform storytelling that reaches international audiences on all BBC platforms across digital, television, audio, and experiential formats.
As Creative Director for EMEA, you'll be at the heart of shaping the creative vision for the region, working alongside a talented team of producers, project managers and strategists, as well as leading a digital and social storytelling team. This is a rare chance to combine creative leadership with hands on ideation skills and production, working on best in class branded content that aligns with the BBC's editorial integrity and global reputation.
You'll also collaborate with a diverse and passionate group across Sales, Marketing and Compliance - all while mentoring creatives and pushing the boundaries of what branded storytelling can achieve. With access to BBC's extensive platforms and storytelling heritage, you'll help brands connect with audiences in authentic, innovative ways.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:- Lead creative direction and ideation for StoryWorks EMEA's branded content output during pitch stage while ensuring alignment to client goals and BBC guidelines.
- Support production to carry out holistic creative vision for multi platform content for clients in EMEA that reflect our diverse BBC audiences.
- Provide inspirational leadership, motivate and support the Creative team comprising editors, writers and designers. Keep up to date with emerging industry trends and champion innovation while identifying culturally relevant opportunities for content partnerships.
- Embody BBC values and quality at all times as a key role representing the commercial face of the BBC brand.
ESSENTIAL CRIERTIA:
- Extensive experience in a creative leadership role - preferably within a branded content studio and/or advertising/creative agency.
- Extensive leadership experience in creative ideation and/or copywriting.
- Demonstrate experience conceptualising, pitching and executing ideas and content across multiple platforms and various industries.
- Strong ability to lead pitches and present creative to external partners and clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build attention grabbing narratives and present creative ideas with impactful language and attention to detail - and the ability to mentor team to do the same.
- Strong client facing background and presentation skills.
DESIRED NOT REQUIRED:
- Strong experience leading global production efforts, leading shoot days to ensure creative excellence and delivery across the board.
- Experience in journalism and inside editorial teams is a plus.
