Major Financial Services business are looking to hire a contract Events Manager to become an integrated member of the event management team and lead or support multiple events simultaneously. Activities include:
Managing event planning activities across various stages of the event life cycle.
Engaging with business stakeholders to understand event objectives and requirements.
Designing and coordinating client-facing event experiences across in-person, virtual and hybrid formats.
Managing vendors, agencies, venues and logistics providers.
Coordinating invitation management, guest communications, RSVP tracking and attendee reporting.
Managing budgets, timelines, run-of-show planning and risk mitigation activities.
Ensuring event branding, compliance and documentation requirements are met.
Supporting onsite event delivery and resolving operational issues when required.
Reviewing event engagement data and preparing post-event insights and recommendations.
The primary challenge facing the team is balancing a highly seasonal event portfolio with limited permanent resources. During peak periods, multiple events may overlap, creating pressure on planning, logistics, stakeholder management and onsite delivery activities.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and adapting quickly to changing circumstances.
You will have proven experience managing end-to-end B2B events independently, including in-person, virtual and hybrid formats, with strong stakeholder, agency and vendor management capabilities.
You will have the ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent events, competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced international environment while maintaining high quality standards and attention to detail.
You should also have strong technology aptitude and experience working with event management platforms, CRM systems and digital tools. Comfortable learning new systems, driving process improvements and contributing to initiatives involving automation, AI and operational optimisation.
